I think Mitt had the better share of lulz-lines. I enjoyed his characterization of how the press would spin the event: “Obama embraced by Catholics, Romney dines with rich people.” Not far from reality. Remember the scene of Dubya Bush in Fahrenheit 9/11 in a tux saying “This is an impressive crowd — the haves and have-mores. Some people call you the elite. I call you my base.”? That took place at 2000′s Al Smith dinner and Michael Moore went ahead and used the self deprecating joke by a then-candidate Bush at a friggin Catholic charity dinner to portray him as a heartless corporate loving jerk.
